For anyone 16 and older:

We offer an on-the-roadway driving skills test to get your full driver's license. Individuals prove their ability to safely, legally, and responsibly operate a vehicle while being asked by an Examiner to perform basic driving tasks.

On test day

Bring the required documents. For appointments, arrive about 5 minutes early. If the weather and traffic cooperate, you'll be demonstrating your skills to the Examiner at (or near) your scheduled testing time.

Note: We test even if it's raining.

You should only be here 30 to 45 minutes! Do not arrive late, as you may lose your driving test time. Avoid rescheduling fees.

New Service:

We can process your passing drivng test results so you won't need to return to DPS. Check out the information in the "Documentation Submission for Upgrading License" column and ask us about it!

CDL Truck Rental

If you have the "hard card" license, after you pass your driving test with us, we can submit your documents to DPS to upgrade your license from a "B" restriction license to your full drivers license. You will be able to print your paper license within 48 to 60 hours after successful submission. No DPS appointment is required!

This is a non-refundable service. DPS has the final say whether the tester's application will be accepted.

Texas Teen Parent-Taught Course:

When a student is enrolled in our online Parent Taught course with Get Drivers Ed, a TDLR fee must be paid to confirm the parent’s eligibility as the driving instructor. It's a 24-hour state-approved online course taken at your own pace.

Texas Teen Instructor-Taught Course:

The online instructor-taught course requires that the student transfer to a driving school to take the required behind-the-wheel lessons.

Note:

No matter which Class you choose, once you open the website to register for the class:

1. Click "Register Today".
2. Optional: UNCLICK "Audio Learning Upgrade" for that "Add-On".
3. Enter your Personal and Payment Information.

The Texas 6-Hour Adult Driving course is an online course.

This class is a requirement for adults aged 18 to 24; you cannot apply for your drivers license without the course Completion Certificate, proving you've passed this course.

Adults who are 25 (and older) can also take the course, which takes the place of taking the Knowledge Exam in a DPS office.
