Driving Test Information
What you need to know.
Required Documents
All testers must have and bring:
- A valid, unexpired Photo Learners License/Permit/"B" Restriction License
- Printout of your signed DPS IMPACT video certificate
Other Age-Related Required Documents
Teens [16 to 17]:
- Bring your completed/signed DPS Copy of your Teen Driver Education Class Certificate [it says: For Driver License Only across the top of it]
- Bring your Parent or Guardian
Adults [18 to 24]:
- Bring your Adult 6-hour Driver Education Class Certificate
Adults [25 or older]:
- Only bring what's listed above under "All testers must have and bring"
Basic Requirements
You must bring ALL REQUIRED, unexpired
hardcopy documents to your test location.
You are not allowed to take the road skills test without presenting the unexpired, state-required documentation.
The exam fee is non-refundable, so read
this entire page and follow all instructions.
**The cost to reschedule an exam will apply if you do not bring the required
documents at your scheduled test time.
Road Test Vehicle
If you are using a vehicle you are bringing, ensure the vehicle will pass the required basic inspection.
You must bring the unexpired insurance policy/card [It must be on paper; not on your phone]. Ensure that you [the driver] are not an "excluded" driver on that policy.
**Rescheduling fees apply if your car will not pass the inspection [or you can choose to rent our driving school vehicle].
On Test Day
Bring the Required Documents. Arrive about 5 minutes early. If the weather and traffic cooperate, you'll be demonstrating your skills to the Examiner at (or near) your scheduled testing time.
Note: We are testing even if it's raining.
You should only be here 30 to 45 minutes!! Do not arrive late, as you may lose your driving test time. Avoid rescheduling fees.
